service was begun in the spring of 1999. Idaho Concrete Raising is
owned by Tri-Cities Construction, a concrete construction firm, which
is owned, in turn, by Jim, Chris, and Jenny Nelson of Blackfoot Idaho.
For 2000 Tri-Cities Construction is starting it's 26th year of business
serving the people of eastern Idaho.
Several years
ago, we noticed that there was a large amount of concrete flatwork in
the valley which had settled due to poor compaction
of the underlying soil. We began to search for a remedy for this
condition. We decided the fix needed to be something which did not
require removal of the existing concrete, as removal and replacement is
both time-consuming and expensive. In most cases, the cost of removal
and replacement is much greater than the initial cost of installation.
We also wanted a repair method which would be fairly fast, and that
wouldn't damage the existing landscaping. We also wanted a system which would be at least 50% less
expensive than removal and replacement.
